if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please follow the below guidelines and we will do all we can to help you return your purchase to us.
What to do if your product is damaged upon arrival:
- If you believe your product has been damaged during transit please notify Ampho within 5 working days of delivery. All goods ordered as stated on the delivery will be deemed to have been delivered and accepted if we are not contacted within 5 working days. Risk of damage to or loss of the goods passes to the buyer at the time of delivery.
- If item(s) are found to be damaged upon arrival the delivery note must be signed for as ‘Damaged on Arrival’ in the remarks or signature line. This will be primary documentation used to make a claim.If item(s) are found to be damaged after the delivery note is signed then no claim can be made against The Courier Guy or Ampho. Please ensure goods are checked thoroughly upon arrival as you are signing to confirm they are in good condition unless otherwise stated.
- In the unlikely event that products are found to be damaged inside the packaging then please contact Ampho immediately. All claims are fully investigated by our our sales team. Ampho holds no guarantee of refund or replacement if it cannot be proved that the product was damaged in transit. Claims must be made within 5 working days of delivery if a product is deemed to be damaged on arrival providing the following information is provided: • Order/shipment number • Photographic evidence of the items including packaging.
What to do if your product is unwanted:
- Customers can return any re-saleable functioning product to Ampho office and receive a credit note provided that you contact Ampho within the stated period of 5 working days of delivery and the product is then returned within 10 working days of receipt of the goods.
- Customers are eligible for 75% credit of the products's value for all re-saleable items including VAT. Unfortunately we cannot refund any delivery charges incurred returning the goods to Ampho.
- It is the customers responsibility to ensure that all the packaging is adequate and in the case of electrical items that these are still in their original packaging, unopened and unused. Failure to do so may incur additional costs or goods being sent back to you. Please ensure you send all original parts. If goods are returned and are not re-saleable, ie parts missing or previously used, the return will be rejected and credit will not be given.
All items are covered by a 12 month warranty (unless otherwise stated) which will be honoured directly by Ampho. All products will either be replaced/repaired/refunded depending on stock availability. Products will require evaluation by Ampho before a warranty claim can be accepted.
All inverters, batteries and solar panels must be installed by a qualified electrical wireman or Master electrician with a valid registration with the Department of Labour. A valid electrical certificate of compliance (COC) must be issued once installed, specific to the installation of the backup or solar system. The installation must be compliant with SANS 10142 and ALL its parts. Any warranty claim submitted without installation photos, a valid COC and proof of a qualified wireman/master electrician installing the unit, can be rejected and will render the warranty claim null at void. Please note repairs can take up to 2-3 weeks.
Important: (If your not able to provide the following your repair will be at your own cost)
In order to get your product approved for repairs we will need the following:
1.Clear photo of The installation done by a qualified personal.
2. A valid electrical certificate of compliance (COC)
3.Proof of a qualified wireman/master electrician certificate which installed the unit.
The warranty does not cover damage resulting from:
• Power surge
• Under-voltage
• Over-voltage
• Lightning
• Corrosion
• Sea spray
• Condensation
• Water damage
• Dust or any solid particles
• Sand
• Insects
• Excessive heat exposure
• Weather damage
• Negligence by the installer or homeowner
• Incorrect installation
• Inadequate protection device rating
• Tampering (broken seal)
• Dirty filters
• Exceeding the maximum power rating, current or voltage for the input solar circuit, DC battery input, AC input and AC output.
